Dissemination Of LEAP Beneficiary Charter of Rights & Responsibilities – 14.03.2018

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP) is implementing the LEAP Programme with the aim to reduce poverty in Ghana by providing cash grant to extremely poor and vulnerable households. The LEAP Programme targets beneficiary households for social protection and pro-poor interventions for the poorest, vulnerable and excluded population

The Programme is being funded by the Government of Ghana with additional financial & technical support from the Department for International Development (DFID), UNICEF and the World Bank.

The LEAP Programme has developed a Beneficiary Charter of Rights and Responsibilities (BCR&R), which was validated for adoption and usage. This document specifies the rights and responsibilities of LEAP beneficiary households throughout the various stages of Programme implementation. It is also a tool for the Community LEAP Implementation Committees (CLICs)/ Community Focal Persons (CFPs).

In order to ensure that the end-users of the Charter are well informed about their rights and responsibilities in the Nadowli-Kaleo District, CDI was tasked by the LEAP secretariat under the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection to disseminate the charter in all beneficiary communities.  This exercise is geared at information sharing with key stakeholders of the LEAP Programme and the general public within the Nadowli-Kaleo District.
